Spooky (easy) Ghost

Supplies:
-White sheet (any white fabric will do-try a trash bag!)
-Small amount of black fabric (or acrylic paint)
-Some type of "applique" (I used 'Wonder-Under')
-Yarn (preferably white)
-A round object (any type of LIGHT-WEIGHT ball)

Directions:
1. Start by cutting a large piece of white fabric to be the body of the ghost
2. On black fabric, trace desired shape of face (circles, ovals, squares etc.)
3. Trace face shapes onto applique (follow directions for your type of applique material)

4. Attach face shapes to white fabric (Note: I first placed white fabric around ball to figure out exaclty where I would want the face. I then made small marks where the face should be, removed the white fabric from around the ball and layed it flat on the table)

5. Wrap fabric around ball to form the ghost. Tie white yarn around fabric just below the ball, in order to gather in all fabric. (Note: Leave about 12"-15" of yarn at the end)
6. Cut a small hole in the white fabric at the back of the ghost's neck
7. Slip the 12"-15" of yarn inside the hole and begin working it up toward the top of the head

8. Pull string out the top of the head and tie together-now the ghost is ready for hanging up

Lastly, hang ghost in a scary spot so all can see!

Note: to add some texture to the ghost... I cut little slits in the bottoms of the sheet and then tore a few inches above cut. Makes it look a little more real! (because ghosts are real...)
